Automobile Claims Adjusters (Personal Lines)

Position Summary:

The Automobile Claims Adjuster is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving auto insurance claims involving personal auto policies. This role ensures timely, accurate, and fair claim handling while delivering excellent customer service and complying with company guidelines, state regulations, and policy provisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Investigate and manage automobile claims from first notice of loss through resolution
  • Review policy coverage, determine liability, and evaluate damages
  • Obtain and analyze statements, police reports, photographs, and other relevant documentation
  • Communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, body shops, and vendors regarding claim status and resolution
  • Negotiate settlements within assigned authority and recommend settlements outside authority when appropriate
  • Coordinate vehicle inspections, appraisals, and repairs with approved vendors
  • Identify potential fraud indicators and refer claims for further investigation as needed
  • Provide clear, professional explanations of coverage decisions and claim outcomes to customers
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the claims management system
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and service standards

What You Bring

  • Current Texas Resident Adjuster’s License
  • 1-2 years preferred personal lines automobile claims adjusting or industry related experience
  • High degree of self-discipline and able to work independently
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a desire to negotiate
  • Full understanding of, and ability to apply, comparative negligence
  • Superior customer service skills, with a desire to help others
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Focused and driven to meet assigned goals and objectives
  • Proficiency with computers, including automated claims systems
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree
  • Bilingual capability (English/Spanish) is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
