Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Automobile Manager / Supervisor to oversee and manage the maintenance, operation, and availability of company vehicles and heavy automobiles used in coal manufacturing and allied operations. The role involves ensuring optimal vehicle performance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with safety and statutory norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of company vehicles, including tippers, dumpers, loaders, trucks, and heavy vehicles
• Plan and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum equipment availability
• Coordinate with drivers, mechanics, and external service vendors for timely repairs and servicing
• Maintain vehicle maintenance records, logbooks, fuel consumption, and repair history
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, pollution norms, insurance, fitness certificates, and statutory documents
• Monitor fuel usage and control operational and maintenance costs
• Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and recommend replacements or major overhauls when required
• Coordinate with production and logistics teams to support uninterrupted plant operations

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of automobile systems (diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions)
• Experience with heavy commercial vehicles used in mining or industrial environments
• Good supervisory, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage breakdowns under pressure and meet operational deadlines
• Basic computer skills for reporting and record-keeping

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Valid driving license preferred

Experience

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in automobile maintenance
• Prior experience in coal, mining, cement, steel, or heavy manufacturing industry will be an advantage

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
