Accounting Clerk – Honda North

A well-established and growing automotive dealership in Danvers, MA is seeking a hands-on Accounting Clerk. The principal function of the Accounting Clerk is to ensure the accurate processing of all customer sales transactions and their related paperwork.

Responsibilities:

• Finalize all vehicle sales by reviewing and verifying all transaction documents, ensuring accuracy and complete information
• Manage the daily posting of contracts in transit payments and sending updates to management team.
• Post all internal repair orders
• Reconcile and post monthly reserve statements
• Handle special clerical and accounting projects as instructed by the Accounting Manager
• Reconcile accounts and schedules, ensuring completeness and accuracy as directed by the Accounting Manager
• Occasional covering of CVR as directed by the Team Leader and Accounting Manager
• Occasional covering of cashier as directed by the Team Leader and Accounting Manager
• Assist in completion of annual review/audit
• CVR experience is a plus

Requirements:

• Previous automotive dealership accounting experience is preferred
• Strong working knowledge of schedules, reserves, and general ledger processes
• Experience with dealership management systems such as Reynolds (preferred not required)
• Excellent follow-through skills and detail oriented
• Exceptional communication skills with a friendly attitude
• Professional presentation
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
• Must have a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record acceptable to ICL Insurance Company requirements
