Responsibilities
- Perform wheel alignments on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring precise adjustments according to manufacturer specifications
- Use specialized alignment equipment and schematics to diagnose and correct suspension and steering issues
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify underlying problems affecting vehicle alignment and handling
- Repair or replace suspension components, steering systems, and related parts as needed to achieve proper alignment
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks, including tire rotations, balancing, and basic mechanical repairs
- Interpret automotive electrical systems and schematics to troubleshoot complex issues involving ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) and other electronic components
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including auto estimating for repairs and services provided
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a focus on automotive repair and alignment services
- Strong mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and automotive electrical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply diagnostics effectively using automotive diagnostics tools
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and the integration of advanced driver-assistance features
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
