Automotive Apprentice Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with performing routine maintenance, repairs and diagnosing issues using factory diagnostic scan tools
• Support the repair and maintenance of vehicles including but not limited to oil changes, tire replacement and balancing, four wheel alignment adjustment, battery replacement and programming, brake services and fluid replacements.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Assist in shop upkeep and maintenance

Experience

• Prior dealership or automotive service experience is highly desirable but not required; a strong mechanical aptitude is essential
• Familiarity with automotive general maintenance is required
• Knowledge of automotive tools, including hand tools, power tools, etc
• Customer service skills are valued to support positive interactions with staff and clients
• A proactive attitude toward learning new skills in automotive repair and maintenance
