Automotive Auction Market Analyst & Sales Coordinator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and detail-oriented Automotive Auction Market Analyst & Sales Coordinator to join our dealership team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on automotive industry experience who understands the wholesale and auction landscape and can strategically position inventory for maximum return.

You will be responsible for analyzing market trends, determining optimal sales channels, setting competitive floor pricing, and actively managing incoming bids. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our vehicles are sold efficiently and profitably across various U.S. markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze market data to determine the most profitable auction channels and geographic markets for each vehicle
  • Evaluate inventory based on year, make, model, mileage, condition, and regional demand
  • Strategically assign vehicles to appropriate auctions or sales platforms nationwide
  • Establish and manage floor pricing to maximize returns while remaining competitive
  • Handle inbound bids via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
  • Negotiate with buyers, including accepting, rejecting, or countering offers based on market conditions and dealership objectives
  • Monitor auction performance and adjust strategies as needed
  • Maintain detailed records of pricing decisions, bids, and sales outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate vehicle representation and readiness for sale

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the automotive industry (dealership, wholesale, or auction environment preferred)
  • Strong understanding of vehicle valuation and auction processes
  • Ability to interpret and act on market data and trends
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Comfortable managing multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with auction platforms, CRM systems, and pricing tools is a plus
