Automotive Service Cashier/ Switchboard Operator/Appointment Coordinator

Deel Volkswagen is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Automotive Cashier to support our Service Department operations, including customer transactions, scheduling, and communication in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Position Overview:

As a Service Cashier, you’ll be responsible for processing payments and providing outstanding customer service at the end of each visit. You’ll be a key part of ensuring our Service Department runs smoothly and professionally.

This is not a traditional retail cashier role. This position supports a high-volume automotive service department and requires strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for handling customer transactions, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service in the service department of an automotive dealership.
• Requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist customers in scheduling future service appointments.
• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding service invoices, payments, and general service department information.
• Accurately process customer payments via cash, credit card, or other payment methods.
• Ensure proper handling of refunds, discounts, and warranty-related transactions.
• Provide customers with detailed receipts and explain charges when necessary.
• Balance cash drawer and reconcile daily transactions.
• Coordinate with service advisors to ensure accurate billing.
• Prior experience as a cashier, receptionist, or in customer service (automotive industry experience is a plus).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in basic math and computer skills (experience with dealership management software is a plus).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, if required.
