Job Title: Automotive Design Engineer - Armoured vehicle

Experience: 3–8 Years
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical / Manufacturing / Production
Location: Abu Dhabi

Role Summary

Design and support fabrication-ready components and assemblies with strong focus on welding, fabrication, and manufacturability. Work closely with production to ensure designs are practical and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D/3D manufacturing drawings using SOLIDWORKS and SketchUp
• Design parts considering laser cutting, bending, welding, fabrication, and assembly
• Apply welding processes, welding symbols, and weld design principles
• Ensure proper GD&T application and tolerance stack-up
• Support shop-floor manufacturing and resolve design issues
• Coordinate tasks and timelines using MS Project
• Participate in Kaizen and 5S activities for process improvement

Required Skills

• 3–8 years experience in manufacturing design
• Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication processes
• Experience with laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly
• Familiar with GD&T and tolerances
• Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, SketchUp, and MS Project

Preferred

• Experience in armoured vehicle or heavy fabrication manufacturing
