Midway Chevrolet is in search of a Certified (EXPERIENCED) Transmission Technician to join the team!

• 3 years’ Plus minimum experience as an Automotive Transmission Technician
• Automotive Dealership or similar environment experience
• GM transmission certification preferred but not necessary
• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Transmissions/Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures
• Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) promptly.
• Diagnose failure of vehicles by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
• Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards. Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
• Create a job repair plan based on the diagnosis.
• The largest parts inventory in Phoenix with a high fill rate!
• Work with a team of experienced Service Advisors providing top support selling your work!
• Access to an experienced full-time Shop Foreman ready and willing to support you and provide live troubleshooting!
• Work for an established dealership that's been in business and involved in the community for decades!
• We have hundreds of repeat customers and long-standing fleet business.

What You'll be Doing

You'll be performing diagnosis and repairs of transmissions and everything related to them.

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to be analytical and multi-task.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Self-motivated enthusiastic presence in a team environment
• Strong written and communication skills
• Consistent and stable work history
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Professional appearance and work ethic
