Automotive Harness Engineer

We are looking for a Harness Engineer to design and develop electrical wiring harnesses for automotive systems. The role includes electrical definition, harness design, technical documentation, prototype validation, and coordination with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop wiring harnesses according to program requirements
• Ensure that harnesses meet automotive and customer specific standards
• Create and maintain harness drawings, and related technical documentation
• Define electrical connections and identify appropriate interface points within vehicles using wiring diagrams and technical data
• Specification of electrical parameters, including current calculations, wire gauge selection, fuse sizing, etc.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, specifications, and engineering change documentation
• Review and validate prototypes against design and documentation, and support troubleshooting when needed
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on technical requirements and implementation
• Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement of harness designs

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Electrical knowledge of automotive systems
• Ability to interpret vehicle wiring diagrams and define required electrical connections
• Ability to perform current calculations and define appropriate wire sizes and circuit protection
• Experience with wiring harness design and technical documentation
• Familiarity with relevant automotive standards and design practices
• Experience with CAD tools for electrical or harness design
• Structured working style, attention to detail, and good communication skills
• Proficiency in English
