Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive lock systems, including key less entry, transponder keys, and electronic locking mechanisms
• Install new lock assemblies and security systems on various vehicle makes and models
• Utilize schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical lock issues
• Work with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to modify or replace lock components as needed
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure security features are integrated with overall maintenance or repair tasks
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostic procedures in accordance with company standards
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and addressing client concerns professionally

Requirements

• Proven experience in dealership or automotive service environments, with a strong focus on lock systems preferred
• Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), automotive electrical systems, transmissions, power train components, and vehicle maintenance
• Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
• Familiarity with vehicle software and auto estimating procedures
• Experience working on GM vehicles or diesel engines is advantageous but not mandatory
• Service technician experience with a focus on automotive repair, electrical systems, or locksmith services preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
