Automotive Master Mechanic / Lead Technician

LA City Cars is hiring an experienced Master Technician for our Los Angeles shop. We specialize in pre-owned luxury and European vehicles — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Land Rover, and Jaguar. If you have factory training or years of hands-on experience with these brands, we want to talk.

Compensation

• $105,000 – $160,000+ annually, based on experience and production
• Flat-rate pay with guaranteed hours while ramping
• Sign-on bonus for qualified candidates with verifiable factory training
• Performance bonuses and advancement into Shop Foreman or Diagnostic Lead roles

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues across European and luxury platforms
• Perform engine, transmission, drivetrain, suspension, brake, and HVAC repairs
• Use factory-level diagnostic tools (ISTA, XENTRY, ODIS, PIWIS, or equivalent)
• Complete pre-sale reconditioning inspections to dealership standards
• Keep management informed on repair status and parts needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work bay

What you bring

• 5+ years as an automotive technician, with verifiable luxury or European brand experience
• ASE certifications (Master Tech preferred) and/or factory training (BMW, MB, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, etc.)
• Strong electrical and electronic diagnostic skills
• Own tools (we provide diagnostic equipment and specialty tools)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Professional, reliable, and takes pride in the work
