Job Title: Automotive Master Technician / Mechanic (A Tech)
Department: Market Operations (Field)

Compensation: $45- $77/hr. + Benefits (day one) + Sign on Bonus $5,000*

We are looking for a Master Technician to help drive our success. In this hands-on, high-impact role, you'll perform advanced diagnostics and repairs, oversee shop operations, and mentor a growing team of technicians. You’ll be the cornerstone of safety and quality in our fleet—and a key voice in shaping how we scale.

What you’ll do:
Diagnose and repair complex vehicle systems (drivability, electrical, HVAC, engine, drivetrain, brakes)
Deliver quality work that exceeds internal and customer expectations
Ensure all work is completed to Flexcar standards, on time and on budget
Train and develop new and junior technicians
Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and technical accuracy
Assist in onboarding new team members and creating a strong shop culture
Manage shop workflow and prioritize high-impact work
Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and supplies
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace aligned with 5S standards
Collaborate with site managers on planning, scheduling, and inventory needs
What drives success for this role:
5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience
ASE Master Technician Certification (or equivalent experience; L1 preferred)
Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
Ability to diagnose and repair gas-powered vehicles across multiple systems
Familiarity with shop software and the ability to use Excel and diagnostic platforms
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed
Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in all weather conditions
