Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and welding repairs.
- Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and auto body repairs to ensure modern vehicle safety features are fully operational.
- Repair diesel engines and work with GM vehicles or other makes/models requiring specialized knowledge of diesel engine repair.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate clearly with customers about necessary services and estimates.
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong foundation in automotive electrical systems and mechanical knowledge.
- Expertise in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and troubleshooting complex issues across various vehicle systems.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, auto estimating processes, and auto body repair is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools essential for vehicle repair.
- Knowledge of tire service including alignment procedures, suspension work, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repair techniques.
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures such as oil changes, vehicle maintenance routines, and powertrain servicing.
