Automotive Mechanic

Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, and powertrain.
• Execute oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and wheel balancing with precision.
• Repair or replace ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and other specialized vehicle features to ensure modern safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems on GM vehicles or other makes.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle maintenance meets manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical components, and suspension.
• Experience working with diesel engines and repairing ADAS technology is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation.
• Familiarity with auto estimating processes and auto body repair is a plus.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair solutions.
