Automotive Mechanic

Tri-Con is seeking a reliable and experienced Auto/Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair company vehicles, light-duty trucks, and equipment. This role supports both shop operations and job sites, ensuring our fleet stays safe, compliant, and running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, filters, fluids)
• Service pickup trucks, trailers, and small equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Perform DOT inspections and ensure compliance
• Respond to field service calls when needed
• Assist with equipment upkeep for job sites
• Identify potential issues before breakdowns occur

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in automotive and/or diesel repair
• Strong diagnostic skills (mechanical & electrical)
• Experience with Ford, Chevy, Dodge trucks preferred
• Basic knowledge of trailers and light equipment
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)
• Ability to work independently and manage time
• Own basic tools (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
