Automotive Mechanic

Job Summary

SCC, LLC is seeking a reliable Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel trucks and directional boring equipment. This hands-on role focuses on keeping our Cummins and Deutz-powered trucks and drilling rigs running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and directional boring equipment.

• Service and repair Cummins and Deutz engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components.

• Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.

• Conduct routine services (oil changes, filters, fluids) and document all work.

• Ensure equipment meets DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of diesel mechanic experience (more experience preferred).

• Strong working knowledge of Cummins and Deutz engines.

• Experience with heavy trucks and/or directional boring (HDD) equipment is a plus.

• Ability to read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and work independently.

• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying conditions.
