Automotive Mechanic

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair and maintenance, possess strong mechanical knowledge, and be committed to delivering high-quality service to customers.

We pay our technicians HOURLY - NOT FLAT RATE. This ensures all of our technicians have a steady pay check and do not need to worry if there are enough customers or too many technicians.

Berryville Auto Parts is a full-service automotive repair and auto parts business located in Berryville, VA since 1961. We also provide state inspections and tire services in a well-equipped, climate-controlled garage with 5 lifts. In addition, we are an independent Carquest Auto Parts retail location enabling us to quickly source parts for our customers. We are a family-owned business with an experienced team that has built lasting relationships with our customers.

Duties
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections

- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics equipment

- Conduct alignments, suspension and brake repairs

- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs

- Interact with customers to provide explanations of repairs and recommendations for vehicle maintenance

Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic working at a dealership or independent repair facility

- Strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency in reading schematics

- Ability to perform automotive diagnostics and repair a variety of vehicle systems

- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools

- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients

- Must be dependable, detail oriented, and able to multitask

- Must provide own tools to perform job responsibilities

Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in automotive service & repair REQUIRED; pay commensurate with experience

-Ability to work rotating SATURDAYS (8am-noon)

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record

- High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills

- ASE Certifications

- VA State Safety Inspectors License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
