Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic automotive mechanic to join our team.
- Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and identify mechanical or electronic malfunctions using computerized testing equipment and manual inspection methods.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform standard preventative care like oil changes, fluid flushes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
- Repairs: Remove, repair, or replace dysfunctional parts (e.g., brakes, sensors, transmissions, and alternators) based on manufacturer specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough test drives and final safety inspections to verify all issues are resolved.
- Documentation & Communication: Clearly explain technical vehicle problems to service advisors or customers and maintain accurate logs of labor and parts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems, including powertrains, braking, electrical, and HVAC components.
- Certifications: National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are highly preferred and often required for career advancement.
- Analytical Thinking: Problem-solving skills to interpret error codes and isolate root causes of vehicle failures.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various positions (often standing or bending), and operate heavy-duty shop equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
