Automotive Mechanic

Job Summary

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
  • Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrain components, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering systems.
  • Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and suspension inspections to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Repair or replace critical components such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, auto body parts, and welding repairs as needed.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts following manufacturer specifications.
  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical issues effectively.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate clearly with customers about their vehicle’s condition and recommended services.

Skills

  • Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
  • Expertise in ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, auto estimating, GM vehicles familiarity, and auto body repair techniques.
  • Solid mechanical knowledge across vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, wheel alignments, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts.
  • Proficiency in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical systems and diagnosing automotive electrical issues.
  • Experience with welding techniques and the use of various hand tools and power tools required for complex repairs.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards for automotive service. Pay: $30.54 - $36.77 per hour
