Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and replacements while adhering to safety standards.
- Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and auto body repairs to meet modern vehicle requirements.
- Work with diesel engines and perform specialized repairs involving air brake systems and welding when necessary.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and auto estimating software to ensure precise repairs aligned with manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each vehicle serviced.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and providing maintenance advice.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience in a fast-paced automotive environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, suspension, and brakes.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and schematics interpretation for accurate troubleshooting.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair, transmission work, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and auto body repair.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair machinery safely.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
