Automotive Mechanic

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, with a strong focus on diagnostics and mechanical systems. This role involves performing a wide range of repairs and services on various vehicle makes and models, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, suspension repairs, shocks & struts, brakes, and wheel alignments
• Repair and maintain powertrain components such as transmissions and diesel engines
• Conduct electrical system repairs, including automotive electrical systems troubleshooting
• Install aftermarket parts
• Follow manufacturer specifications for vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
• Utilize advanced repair techniques and tools ensuring vehicle performance and safety
• Provide high-quality expert level service
• Maintain a neat and clean work area
• Advise service writers about additional repair needs or concerns

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate good time-management and organizational skills
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, A/C systems, powertrains, transmissions, differentials, transfer cases, suspension, alignment, brakes, shocks & struts, oil changes, steering systems, and tire services
• Experience with diesel engine service and repair
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools effectively
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must have own tools
• Self motivated
