<Job Summary>

<Duties>
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension systems, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering systems with precision and attention to detail.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components and perform wheel alignments to enhance vehicle safety features.
- Interpret technical schematics and repair manuals to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical issues.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with customers about repairs needed and completed work.
- Adhere to shop safety protocols while working with air brake systems, and other heavy-duty components.
- Support ongoing vehicle maintenance programs for GM vehicles or other makes as required by the dealership or service center.
<Skills>
- Proven experience or extensive mechanic experience in a fast-paced automotive environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
- Expertise in engine repair, powertrain systems, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and wheel alignments.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology and auto estimating procedures for accurate repairs.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of auto body repair processes including welding and frame straightening.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly to clients.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred but not required.
