Automotive Mechanic & Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled self motivated truck & equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Your expertise will help keep our fleet and machinery operating smoothly, supporting our commitment to excellence in service and safety. • Perform comprehensive diagnostics, electrical testing, and mechanical inspections to identify issues with vehicles and equipment.
• Repair and maintain various types of machinery including excavators, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and lawn mowers.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, and fluid replacements to ensure vehicle longevity.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, air brake systems, transmissions, HVAC units, shocks & struts, and other complex mechanical systems on heavy equipment.
• Interpret technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems related to industrial equipment and automotive systems.
• Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining detailed service records for each job performed.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in truck diagnostics and heavy equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in understanding schematics, electrical systems, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical specifications.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, Zero turn lawn mowers, forklifts, safely and efficiently.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC units, diesel engines, shocks & struts.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions.
