Role Overview

As an Automotive Mechanic / Service Technician at Forthright Auto Repair, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our customers and dealership vehicles safe and reliable. About half of your work will be used car reconditioning for our dealership, while the other half includes warranty repairs and general customer maintenance. Our team handles everything from emissions and alignments to full engine and transmission replacements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of vehicles
• Complete used car inspections and reconditioning for resale
• Execute warranty repairs and routine customer maintenance services
• Accurately document findings, repairs, and recommendations in work orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Use proper safety procedures and follow industry best practices
• Collaborate with service advisors and teammates to ensure quality and efficiency

Qualifications

Required:

• ASE (not student level) or Factory Certifications REQUIRED
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Own tools appropriate for the job
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate environment
• Prior professional shop or dealership experience

Preferred:

• Heavy-line or electrical diagnostic experience

• Rotating schedule: Monday–Friday + rotating Saturdays
• Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Mon–Fri), 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Sat)
• Full-time, approximately 45–50 hours/week
