Automotive Mechanic technician

Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
• Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension, brakes, and electrical components.
• Conduct diesel engine repairs and service to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently.
• Perform wheel alignments and vehicle inspections to ensure proper handling, safety, and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), electrical systems, and powertrain components.
• Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation.
• Ability to repair diesel engines along with general automotive maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; experience with auto body repair is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude.
