Automotive Pre-Owned Car Purchaser

Carzilla Motors is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Owned Car Purchasing Agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring high-quality used vehicles for our dealership or resale inventory. This role requires strong negotiation skills, an understanding of vehicle market values, and a commitment to making informed purchasing decisions that support our company’s growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Source and acquire pre-owned vehicles through auctions, trade-ins, private sellers, or wholesale dealers
• Conduct vehicle inspections and review condition reports
• Negotiate pricing and purchase terms with sellers
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and current wholesale values
• Ensure proper documentation and title transfer for all acquisitions
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, sellers, and other sourcing partners
• Monitor inventory needs and coordinate with the sales team to understand demand
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and transactions
• Follow all state and federal regulations regarding vehicle purchases

Requirements:

• Previous experience in automotive purchasing, sales, or appraisal preferred
• Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and market trends
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to travel locally to inspect and pick up vehicles
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
