JOB SUMMARY
This position contacts a territory of dealerships to facilitate product training and improve sales consultant performance. The trainer works with a comprehensive knowledge of GM brands, vision, and training priorities to conduct in-dealership training and coaching.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct training sessions in accordance with performance standards
· Responsible for product training and performance support within assigned GM dealerships
· Develop and manage schedule to support dealer needs while working with regional personnel on direction and priorities
· Conduct special training assignments and facilitate large group meetings as required
· Conduct launch training events as required
· Conduct on-going product study and competitive reviews
· Submit schedules, rosters, activity reports and expense reports according to performance standards
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· 3-5 years automotive related or automotive retail experience or commensurate experience
· In-depth knowledge of vehicle technology, light duty truck fundamentals, trailering and infotainment systems
· Strong communication skills
· Strong facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills
· Organizational skills
· Computer skills/literacy and proficiency with PowerPoint
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
LOGISTICS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
· 80% travel
· Provide training within dealerships and meeting locations
· Home office based
· Reside within assigned territory
