About the Opportunity:
Long’s Auto Place is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Sales & Finance Professional to join our team. As a member of our family-owned business, you will have the opportunity to guide customers through every step of their vehicle purchase process, from selecting the right pre-owned car to securing financing and offering aftermarket products. At Long’s, we specialize in high-quality vehicles from 2014 or newer, with under 140,000 miles, ensuring both quality and ease in the financing process.
You will work with 14 banks and credit unions, as well as 3 aftermarket product companies, to provide customers with the best options available. This role offers a unique, end-to-end sales experience, where you’ll have the chance to work with customers directly and manage the entire sales process.

About Long’s Auto Place:
Since 1981, Long's Auto Place has been a trusted name in St. Paul for high-quality pre-owned vehicles. We’ve built a strong reputation by offering reliable vehicles and exceptional service. In 2001, we expanded with a new facility. In May 2023, we relocated to another location better suited for auto sales on Highway 61 in White Bear Lake, with exciting plans for future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer-Focused Sales: Act as an ambassador for Long’s Auto Place, providing a personalized experience from the moment the customer walks in.
- Vehicle Sales: Assist customers in selecting the perfect pre-owned vehicle, based on their needs and preferences.
- Financing: Guide customers through the loan acquisition process using RouteOne and ensure they receive the best financing options.
- Aftermarket Products: Sell service contracts, GAP insurance, key & wheel protection, and other aftermarket products.
- Follow-Through: Maintain strong organizational skills, ensure timely follow-ups, and provide excellent customer service throughout the entire sales process.
- CRM Management: Use CRM tools to track leads and follow up on sales opportunities.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside our experienced team to ensure the dealership is always clean, organized, and displays our vehicles in the best possible way.
Qualifications:
- Some automotive finance experience (if none, revised pay plan available)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A self-motivated, positive attitude with a strong drive to succeed.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using CRM and financing software.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
