Automotive Service Advisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and customer-oriented Automotive Service Advisor to join our after-sales service team. The Service Advisor will act as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring a smooth service experience while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and service quality.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of automotive maintenance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with technicians and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and professionally handle vehicle service requests.
  • Conduct initial vehicle inspection and accurately record customer concerns and service requirements.
  • Prepare repair orders and service estimates according to company policies.
  • Explain recommended repairs, maintenance schedules, and service procedures to customers clearly.
  • Coordinate with workshop technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely completion of work.
  • Monitor the progress of service orders and keep customers informed about repair status.
  • Ensure all documentation and service records are properly completed and maintained.
  • Promote additional services, maintenance packages, and genuine spare parts when appropriate.
  • Deliver completed vehicles to customers and explain the work performed.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality control procedures.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in automotive service management are an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Service Advisor or Automotive Service Consultant.
  • Experience working in automotive dealerships or authorized service centers is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with automotive service systems and workshop operations.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair processes.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare repair orders, cost estimates, and service documentation.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet service deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using ERP or workshop management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
