Automotive Service Technician

**Job Summary**:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services on a variety of vehicles, ensuring quality and efficiency in all tasks. This position is ideal for a reliable and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about automotive repair, customer service, and problem-solving.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs or maintenance.

- Execute a variety of services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, battery testing, and more advanced repairs like transmission work, electrical diagnostics, and engine repairs.

- Utilize diagnostic tools, computer systems, and technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot and repair vehicle systems.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition.

- Document all work performed, including services completed and parts used, accurately and clearly.

- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers about repair recommendations, timelines, and costs.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, systems, and repair techniques through ongoing training.

- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and procedures to ensure a safe workplace.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an automotive technology program is preferred.

- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or equivalent is a plus.

- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.

- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and computerized components.

- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, computer systems, and automotive repair software.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and bending, for extended periods.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
