Automotive Service Technicians maintain, repair, and inspect cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles. Technicians must be familiar with all functions of a motor vehicle including engine, driveline, cooling, electrical, and air conditioning systems. A Technician must have good hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and effective processing and communication skills to be effective.

Technicians are required to spend long hours on their feet with a lot of time bending, straining, and working overhead. Technicians work in high heat and humidity in the summer and cold temperatures in the winter and at times are required to lift objects weighing in excess of 25 pounds. Technicians are also required to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard free work environment and be free of distraction at all times. Because the Automotive industry is constantly advancing, up to date training is a must. Candidates must have a valid and clear driver’s license and one-year minimum experience in automotive repair. Proficiency in servicing Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram vehicles is preferred. Technicians must have their own tools.
