Overview
We are seeking an energetic Automotive Shop Assistance (General Maintenance) professional to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, include prepping and unloading new trailers. Helping customers hook up new trailers to vehicles. Ground maintenance. Unloading truck taking inventory of parts received and putting away in proper locations. Preassemble snow plows for installs. Fork lift and CDL license are a plus but not required. Tools and box helpful.

Responsibilities

• Receive inventory and put away in location.
• Have trailers ready for customer pick up and help out customer.
• Ground maintenance includes cutting grass and weed whacking
• Help with facilities maintenance tasks like cleaning, organizing tools, and ensuring the shop environment is safe and efficient
• Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Support will come from AJS team to learn job.
• Must be on time and able to work at least 40 hours a week. Some Saturdays may be required.

Skills

• Some mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnosis issues with trailer wiring.
• Prior knowledge of towing and hooking up trailers would be helpful.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices including residential painting and general up keep
• Customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and customers when necessary
• Knowledge of computer skill would be helpful.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
