Automotive Tech

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, particularly with euro vehicles. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles meet safety and performance standards. The Automotive Technician will work in a fast-paced dealership environment, utilizing both hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.

*Responsibilities*

- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals.

- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

- Utilize power tools and hand tools to execute repairs on various vehicle systems.

- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems before they escalate.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle.

- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair needs and timelines.

- Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop environment.

- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

*Requirements*

- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic, preferably in a dealership setting.

- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

- Familiarity with GM vehicles is highly desirable.

- Strong understanding of automotive repair principles and vehicle maintenance practices.

- Ability to read and interpret schematics for various automotive systems.

- Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.06 - $27.83 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Automotive repair: 1 year (Required)
  • Mechanic experience: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Houston, TX 77057: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:
