- Perform diagnostic testing using OBD scanners, diagnostic software, and electronic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Troubleshoot faults in ECU, sensors, fuel injection systems, ignition systems, ABS, airbag systems, and engine electronics.
- Carry out mechanical repairs and adjustments (engine, brakes, suspension, transmission) based on diagnostic results.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with Liberty Car Care standards.
- Perform calibration, programming, and reset procedures for modern vehicles after repairs (throttle body reset, steering angle sensor, etc.).
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
- Communicate clearly with Service Advisors on required repairs, time estimates, and parts needed.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety and workshop cleanliness standards.
- Maintain proper documentation for all diagnostic findings, repairs, and test results.
- Assist in training mechanics and junior staff on diagnostic techniques and proper service procedures.
- Stay updated with new automotive technologies, electronic systems, and advanced diagnostic tools.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong background in multi-brand vehicle diagnostics and repair (GCC experience preferred).
- Solid understanding of modern automotive systems, including ECU, CANBUS, ignition control, fuel systems, and electronic sensors.
- Able to diagnose complex issues quickly and accurately using structured troubleshooting steps.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Professional, reliable, and able to work under pressure or during peak workshop hours.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to coordinate with mechanics, electricians, and advisors.
- Quality-driven, safety-focused, and committed to high workshop standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Technical Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 3–7 years of experience as an Auto Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or similar role.
- Proven experience using OBD scanners, diagnostic software, multimeters, and calibration tools.
- Familiarity with multi-brand diagnostics (Japanese, American, European).
- Valid UAE Driving License is an advantage.
- Certifications from Bosch, ASE, or vehicle manufacturers are a strong plus.
