Automotive Technician

Our automotive repair shop is looking for a skilled technician to perform diagnostic, routine, and general maintenance repairs on cars and trucks. You will use your diagnostic and automotive repair experience to help customers with their vehicle problems. In this role, you should be highly motivated, detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively. We are looking for a team player who will work well with others. We expect you to be a quick learner with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical skills and enjoy working on cars.

Responsibilities:

• Locate, diagnose and repair defects and malfunctions in machinery, electrical and electronic systems.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance (e.g. oil changes, tire rotations, brake adjustments etc.).
• Suggest preventive maintenance measures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to customers by resolving their issues through accurate diagnosis, repairs and scheduled maintenance.
• Develop effective communication skills with customers (e.g. phone call, e-mail) to streamline the process of paperwork.
• Keep abreast of new products and technologies to keep information current.
• Maintain a clean work space and organize tools and equipment properly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
