Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical systems, and diesel engines
- Conduct wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs with precision
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Document all repairs thoroughly in service records and communicate findings clearly with customers or service advisors
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service standards
- Expertise in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting
- Knowledge of ADAS calibration procedures and alignment techniques for modern vehicles
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems including engines, transmissions, diesel engines, and powertrains
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software
- Experience with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; familiarity with auto estimating software is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and professionally
