Automotive Technician

Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems.
• Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicle parts.
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
• Ensure all repairs meet dealership standards for quality and safety while providing excellent customer service throughout the process.

Skills

• Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components.
• Skilled in reading schematics and utilizing automotive diagnostic software for precise troubleshooting.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance tools necessary for vehicle repair.
• Familiarity with most makes and models; experience with auto estimating software is advantageous.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with ASE Certifications being required
• Ability to work independently and help guide less experienced technicians when needed.
• ASE certifications are required

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
