Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems and powertrains.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
- Repair or replace components such as belts, hoses, brakes, steering systems, and suspension parts with precision.
- Execute wheel alignments and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and efficiently.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, estimated timelines, and service options to enhance customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven dealership or service shop experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models, including Nissan & Hyundai vehicles preferred.
- Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrains, and diesel engine repairs.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation.
- Knowledge of automotive service standards including vehicle maintenance procedures and auto estimating processes.
- Service technician experience that demonstrates problem-solving skills in diagnosing complex issues quickly.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively. Pay: $27.00 - $45.00 per hour
