Automotive Technician

Join Our Team as an Automotive Technician!

Trobec's is seeking a skilled, motivated, and tech-savvy Automotive Technician to join our
maintenance team. We are looking for a self-starter who works well independently, takes pride in
quality workmanship, and is committed to delivering safe and reliable vehicles.

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of
passenger vehicles and light-duty fleet vehicles to ensure they meet company safety standards
and manufacturer specifications. You will also play an important role in maintaining an efficient
shop environment through effective communication, preventative maintenance, parts
management, and facility upkeep.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Embrace and promote Trobec's culture of safety, professionalism, and exceptional service.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline-powered passenger vehicles and light-duty fleet vehicles.
  • Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension systems, steering components, brake systems, HVAC systems, tires, and electrical systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic software, scan tools, and other technology to accurately identify and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Complete repairs accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
  • Follow manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules and service intervals.
  • Perform preventative maintenance services and identify potential issues before they become major repairs.
  • Inspect vehicles and recommend necessary repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Assist with parts ordering and inventory management as needed.
  • Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.
  • Participate in regular maintenance and operational meetings to communicate vehicle status and repair needs.
  • Help prioritize daily repair schedules to maximize shop productivity and vehicle availability.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Assist with facility maintenance and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Automotive Mechanic preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment and repair software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Valid driver & license required.
  • ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties in a shop environment.

Pay Rate: $22.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience
