AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Motorworks Northwest – Mount Vernon , WA

Motorworks Northwest is a well-established, family-owned independent automotive repair facility

looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. We're not looking for a parts changer. We're looking for a skilled technician who takes pride in diagnosing and repairing vehicles correctly, communicates well with coworkers, and enjoys working in a professional, drama-free environment. What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years automotive repair experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Must own and know how to use professional automotive tools
• Comfortable using computers, scan tools, service information systems, and digital inspections
• Excellent communication skills with service advisors and office staff
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair domestic and import vehicles
• Perform quality inspections and maintenance services
• Use scan tools and service information systems efficiently
• Clearly document findings, recommendations, and repairs
• Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle needs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Continue learning as vehicle technology evolves

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing domestic and import vehicles
• European vehicle experience is a plus but not required
• Strong electrical and drivability diagnostic skills
• ASE certifications are appreciated but not required for the right candidate
