Experienced Automotive Technician / Diagnostic Mechanic

A & S Auto Repair and Body Shop, Inc. is a quality-driven independent repair facility committed to professional workmanship, accurate diagnostics, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for an experienced technician who takes pride in doing the job correctly, works efficiently, and can operate independently in a professional shop environment.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a motivated, dependable technician with strong diagnostic ability and real-world repair experience.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair drivability, electrical, mechanical, and powertrain issues
- Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately
- Utilize scan tools, diagnostic equipment, schematics, and service information systems
- Perform suspension, steering, brake, engine, and electrical repairs
- Conduct vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow manufacturer procedures and shop quality standards
- Work independently while contributing positively to the team
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills required
- Ability to accurately diagnose issues without unnecessary parts replacement
- Experience using modern diagnostic equipment and repair software
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and drivability diagnostics required
- Ability to complete jobs efficiently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license required
- ASE certifications are a plus
- Experience with ADAS diagnostics/calibrations is a plus
Vehicle Scope
- Cars, SUVs, and light-duty gas trucks up to 3500 series only
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No nights
- No weekends
- No holidays
Compensation
- $25–$40 per hour based on experience, productivity, and diagnostic ability
