Automotive Technician - A

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our Midas team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the repair and maintenance of a wide range of vehicles, ensuring top-quality service and customer satisfaction. As a leader in our service department, you will manage diagnostic processes, and uphold the highest standards of automotive repair. Your expertise will drive efficiency, safety, and excellence across all service operations, making a tangible impact on our customers’ driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex vehicle issues using advanced automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
  • Perform comprehensive repairs on powertrain systems, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance procedures including alignments, wheel balancing, brake repairs, and engine diagnostics
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to execute repairs accurately and safely
  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot automotive electrical systems effectively
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards while maintaining productivity goals
  • Assist with auto estimating processes to provide accurate repair timelines and cost assessments for customers
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation for each vehicle serviced
  • Uphold excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process

Requirements

  • Proven automotive repair experience with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of ADAS technology, schematics interpretation, and automotive electrical systems
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance including driveability, brakes, suspension, alignments, transmissions, powertrain components, and diesel engine repair
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams
  • Previous experience in a lead or senior technician role within an automotive service environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues efficiently
  • Customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $33.50 - $46.00 per hour
