World Wide Automotive Service is seeking a motivated Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in automotive repair with hands-on training and a clear path for growth.
This position includes working on both European and Asian vehicles, with most work focused on Asian makes.
Position Overview
The Technician Apprentice works alongside experienced Mechanical Specialists, Expert, and Master Technicians, along with shop leadership, to develop diagnostic and repair skills. This role is designed to build a strong technical foundation through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship.
You will assist with vehicle inspections, maintenance services, and repairs while learning proper processes, efficiency, and attention to detail in a professional shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Learning
· Assist technicians with inspections and repairs, primarily on Asian vehicles
· Perform maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)
· Learn diagnostic procedures and repair techniques
· Gain hands-on experience across both Asian and European vehicles
Inspection & Quality
· Complete digital inspections with accuracy and thoroughness
· Document and clearly articulate vehicle concerns and findings on repair orders
· Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality
Shop Operations
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Properly handle tools, equipment, and materials
· Learn and use our shop management system for inspections, notes, and workflow
Team Collaboration
· Communicate effectively with technicians and service advisors
· Be open to coaching and continuous improvement
· Contribute to a positive, professional team environment
Requirements
· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
· Minimum of 2 years of professional automotive repair experience
· Strong interest in automotive repair, especially Asian vehicles
· Willingness to work on both Asian and European vehicles
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Ability to lift and move heavy (50lbs+) automotive parts and equipment
· Strong work ethic and attention to detail
· Willingness to learn and adapt
Preferred Qualifications
· Basic automotive tools (not required; tool allowance provided)
· Prior automotive schooling or additional training
· Familiarity with shop environments and equipment
· Desire to grow and learn into a long-term technician role
Growth & Development
