Automotive Technician (ASE certified, 4 yrs exp. req., MB experience preferred)

We are is looking for experienced Automotive Technicians/Mechanics to join the team at our Mercedes-Benz of St. Clair Shores, MI, with a signing bonus of $10,000.

Automotive Technician Essential duties include, but aren’t limited to:

• Diagnostics & Repair: Utilize specialized, cutting-edge equipment (SDS) to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake services, and tire alignments, following strict Mercedes-Benz quality standards.
• Technical Compliance: Adhere to factory, safety, and documentation procedures to ensure vehicles are fixed right the first time.
• Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, Right-to-Know etc.
• Continuous Learning: Attend required training classes, update skills, and maintain certifications to stay current on new technology.
• Collaboration: Work with service advisors and team members to ensure customer satisfaction and clear communication of vehicle needs.
• Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including the proper care of dealership and personal tools and equipment
• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Certification: Mercedes-Benz certification is often required (or the ability to attain it), alongside ASE certifications.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of automotive repair, specialized tools, and high-voltage battery systems.
• Computer Literacy: Ability to use proprietary software for diagnostics, repair documentation, and service records.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with service advisors and customers.
• Experience: Previous experience with luxury vehicles is preferred, though specialized training programs like MB Drive exist for entry-level candidates. Mercedes-Benz +3
