Automotive Technician/Mechanic

Role Overview:
This role involves performing maintenance, diagnostics, and modification work on Abrams Tank variants. The candidate will support field and shop operations, ensuring vehicles are mission-ready through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong mechanical expertise and ability to work in demanding environments are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance checks and services on Abrams Tank variants (M1A1, M1A2 SEP V2/V3)
• Execute modification work orders (MWOs) and repair activities
• Diagnose issues using technical manuals, flow diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures
• Maintain accountability of tools, equipment, and assigned assets
• Support field operations and additional maintenance tasks as assigned

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1+ year of mechanical maintenance experience (military vehicles preferred)
• Basic knowledge of tools and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Requirements:

• Must be eligible to access U.S. military bases (NACI clearance if required)
• Must be a U.S. person
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain tank driver certification
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and in extreme conditions
• Willingness to travel as needed for field support
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $26.38 - $31.47 per hour

Experience:

• Abrams Tank maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
• Automotive maintenance: 3 years (Required)
