Automotive Technician/Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and modification, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires expertise in in off-road accessory installation. We do a lot of suspension, bumpers, and rear door accessories on Mercedes Sprinter vans and truck campers. Exceptional customer service skills are essential as you will interact with clients to explain repairs and maintenance needs.

Duties

• Perform diagnostic assessments on vehicles to identify issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Conduct installations on Mercedes Sprinter vehicle systems, including powertrain, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Execute routine vehicle install tasks such as tire mounting, and bolt on accessories.
• Align wheels and perform adjustments as needed.
• Utilize your own complete tool set.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
• Communicate clearly with management regarding repair needs, timelines, and costs.
• Stay updated on van overland technology advancements and repair techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role in vehicle modification and repair.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems, including powertrain components and suspension.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service while explaining technical information clearly to clients.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
