Summary:
Choose your own schedule! Be your own boss, and play a critical role in your community helping motorists solve their auto repair and maintenance issues at their preferred location (home, office, etc.)! Some of the services you may provide are jumpstarts, unlocking doors, tire changes, oil changes, window replacements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, including others as needed:
- Provide auto repair and maintenance services in a safe, professional, and timely manner, free of accident, injury, or damage.
- Timely prepare and submit accurate work orders and inspection sheets.
- Comply with all Federal, State, and Local Laws, rules and ordinances for vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Inspect vehicle tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water as needed.
- Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts that need repair or maintenance.
- Identify and correct vehicle issues by repairing or replacing major parts, components and systems, including, but not limited to, oil changes, tire replacements and window replacements.
- Operate machinery and equipment in a professional, courteous, and safe manner.
- Provide roadside assistance in a safe, professional, and timely manner, free of accident, injury, or damage.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs, as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Understands both automatic and standard manual-transmission vehicles
- National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification (s) or certification (s) in different specialized areas such as: brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service.
- Able to work at least 3 days/week.
- Possess the necessary tools and equipment for at least one of the following work:
Oil change
Tire replacement
Window replacement
We understand that some auto specialists/mechanics may not have all the necessary tools and equipment. Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
