Duties and Responsibilities:

• Examine vehicles based on customer requests and/or concerns.
• Perform basic maintenance, including tire rotations, checking fluid levels, and oil changes.
• Repair or replace worn parts and systems, such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors.
• Test systems and individual parts to ensure they are in proper working order and evaluate the extent of any damage.
• Follow checklists to ensure thorough examinations of all parts and systems.
• Identify mechanical and electrical problems using computerized diagnostic equipment and your expertise.
• Determine appropriate repair measures based on research, peer-to-peer examinations, and past experience.
• Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately, considering the original repair strategy and customer specifications.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at all times.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Certification in a related field from a vocational school is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication skills to relay auto repair information to customers and other technicians.
• Detail-oriented, thorough, and organized.
• Physical strength and stamina, with the ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Mechanically and analytically minded.
