Automotive Technician/Upholstery

We at Discount Hitch and Truck Accessories are looking for a skilled Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair vehicles. An excellent mechanic must have great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install trailer hitches and a wide range of aftermarket truck accessories
• Install commercial truck equipment including flatbeds, service bodies, and related upfits
• Perform installations such as Ranch Hand bumpers, bed covers, auxiliary fuel tanks, fifth-wheel hitches, and other accessories
• Inspect all vehicles thoroughly before delivery to ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs with a focus on long-term reliability
• Troubleshoot customer concerns and resolve problems in a timely and professional manner
• Provide customers with guidance on proper maintenance and preventative care
• Perform leather (Katzkin-style) interior installations using provided equipment (steamer, tools, etc.)
• Assist the sales team as needed to support store operations and customer experience
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the bays and showroom
• Perform light facility maintenance and general upkeep as needed

Skills

• 3 years of experience as Mechanic (preferred)
• Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
• A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
• Very good communication skills
• A problem-solving ability
• Bilingual
• Very good physical strength and stamina

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
